‘‘Color Coded’’ is a workshop led by Tony Stallard to explore the nature of color using canvas and oil wash, along with charcoal and other mediums on an experimental basis. This workshop is more about experimenting than trying to define a finished artwork and to see what colours can be ‘unleashed’ using various materials.

The goal of this workshop is for participants’ work to be included in the upcoming exhibition by Tony Stallard and Mali Docktor, on display at the Crowsnest Pass Public Art Gallery from Nov 19 to Dec 17.

Time: 10am to 3pm daily

About Tony Stallard: Tony Stallard is a sculptor and painter whose work explores speculative artefacts, archives, and systems of display. Working across sculpture, installation, and public art, his projects often resemble fragments of fictional discoveries or research collections. Through these installations he examines how institution constructs meaning through classification, preservation, and narrative along with the theme of colour coding.
