Keeping an Art Journal

Are you interested in improving your drawing skills, your sense of design, or documenting your thoughts, experimenting with creative ideas, combining words and images, illustrating poems and passages? This class is for you! We will start with learning about visual metaphors, symbols and allegories and the wonderful ways mixed media can be used to create something truly unique. Learn what a sketchbook is truly for - a documentation of your life, all your thoughts, emotions and ideas. Join artist and educator Sherry Chanin and get started on your own visual journal!

Materials will be provided or you can bring your own. You will need to bring your own sketchbook (one that is approximately 10 x 12 inches and opens sideways).

Dates: February 18, 25, and March 4, 2026
